Lady Gaga Confirms Grammy Performance; Britney Rumored

It appears that Lady Gaga will be debuting new music from her upcoming LP Born This Way in Gaga fashion: performing live at the Grammys. According to Gaga's choreographer Laurieann Gibson, the New Yorker will head westbound to (possibly) premiere her new song to millions at the ceremony being held at Los Angeles's Staples Center.

The parenthetical "possibly" is assuming that her single will not be leaked over the next four weeks before she is scheduled to hit the stage at the ceremony, but early leaks have become increasingly common irritations of artists nowadays. The Telephone singer is nominated in six categories this year, including Album of the Year.

As you might remember, the then-newbie Gaga opened the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards last February with a medley of her hits, ending with a spectacular duet with none other than Elton John. I wonder what this year's performance will entail.

Although LG's performance has been confirmed, there is still uncertainty whether or not Britney Spears will perform at this year's event. If she takes the stage, it will be the first time since 2000 that the Louisiana native has taken the stage at the Grammys. It will certainly be an interesting ceremony this year with some very high profile artists confirming or alluding to stage performances this year.
