Justin Bieber To Reprise CSI Role

Justin Bieber has been tapped by CBS to reprise his role on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation just four months after his television acting debut on an episode in September 2010. That episode, the season 11 premiere, featured his role as a troubled brother of a murdered teen.

Considering the ratings gold that booking Justin Bieber entails, it seems smart for CBS to milk his storyline as much as possible. The episode titled "Targets of Obsession" is scheduled to air on February 17th.

Beyonce's "I Am" Best Selling Music DVD of 2010

Beyonce wants you to know that there is no medium she cannot dominate. After scoring a few number one films, number one albums, and number one songs, the 29 year-old can add DVDs to that list. According to Columbia Records, Beyonce's "I Am... World Tour" has earned the title of best selling music DVD of 2010, even though its release date was November 24th.

The DVD/Soundtrack edition has held onto the number one position on the Nielsen SoundScan Music DVD chart since its release and covers Beyonce's concert dates around the world. It has been certified platinum in both the United States and Brazil, while has earned a gold certification in France, Australia and Canada, amongst others.

Even during her so-called off years, Beyonce is still pulling in those seven-to-eight digit paychecks. I guess there's good reason for why Jay-Z has been bragging about his wife's money in his new track. Check the press release below:

The Sad, Sad, Sad State of Music Sales

Even though last year featured the a million sales week for Taylor Swift and the largest sales week for any album since 2005, we are about to witness history if Hits Daily Double sales for this week are corroborated by Billboard tomorrow.

According to HDD, the number one album for the upcoming chart week will hold the record for the lowest sales total for a number one album in the Soundscan era. Ironically, while Swift's Speak Now has the distinction of the greatest sales week in half a decade, its pitiful 53,349 albums sold this past week will be a record-holder, at least for the time being. This shatters the record-low 60,000 albums sold for a number one album when The Dreamgirls Soundtrack underachieved the distinction during the week ending 1/14/07.

Soulja Boy Dissed over "Whip My Hair" Songwriting Controversy

Don't mess with Ronald Jackson. Although the songwriter is up and coming, he has taken immediate measures to respond to doubts about who wrote Willow Smith's hit record "Whip My Hair." After Soulja Boy tweeted last week that he was receiving royalties from songwriting credits from breakout hit, one of its writers has decided to not-so-politely set the record straight.

Jackson, who goes by the stage name "Jukebox," wrote the song for the 10 year-old and has now decided to confront allegations that Soulja had written the track. In the diss track, Jukebox raps, "Soulja Boy say he ghostwrote it 'cause right he wasn't there," over the signature beat of the hit record. He goes on to say, "Niggaz ain't trying to work unless you giving them some publishing," taking shots at the claims of Soulja Boy's tweets.

Britney Spears Is Unsurprisingly #1

If anyone had any doubts that Britney Spears would come back stronger than ever, the iTunes release and success of her new single "Hold It Against Me" has eased them as it has catapulted to number one on the iTunes charts of over a dozen countries. Even though the song has seen its debut only yesterday and promotion has just begun, the song is selling at a remarkable pace worldwide, which means very strong charting next week.

The new single has received critical praise by most critics who have commended Spears, Dr. Luke, and Max Martin for the new experimental sound that they are working with, while not sounding too foreign from what Britney's fans have enjoyed in the past. Below is the list of countries in which Britney Spears's single is number one on iTunes.

REVIEW: "H.A.M." by Kanye West & Jay-Z

Are you hard as a motherf*****? Well that's what the acronym H.A.M. represents, the title of the first Kanye West/Jay-Z collaboration from their upcoming album Watching The Throne, and both rappers want to convince you that they certainly are. The Lex Luger-produced track features a one minute verse from each rapper, beginning with Kanye West informing his enemies that he is back, so "forgettaboutit!" Surprisingly, for the hype surrounding the song, West's verse is largely subdued and hardly as hard as the chorus alludes: "I'm about to go H.A.M. Harder as a motherf*****, let these n*****s know who I am."
