Although Kanye West had taken some time off after the VMA incident back in late 2009/early 2010, it appears 2011 will not follow suit. The rapper, who has been enjoying the commercial and critical success of his fifth studio album My Dark Beautiful Twisted Fantasy and his Jay-Z-assisted collaboration single "H.A.M.," seems prepared to embark on new music.
"MY NEW ALBUM COMING THIS SUMMER," said the "Power" rapper on the very same tweet he posted to promote his upcoming collaboration album with Jay. Thus, over the next few months, we can expect a new music video with Rihanna for "All The Lights," another music video and album release (with the likelihood of new singles) with Jay-Z, then brand new music to usher in the Chi-town emcee's sixth studio album. It will be a very busy 2011 for Kanye, perhaps culminating with some platinum moonmen at this year's VMAs.
