NEW MUSIC: "Where You At" by Jennifer Hudson + Album Details

Jennifer Hudson has debuted her lead single today on the internet, titled "Where You At" with lyrics and production by R. Kelly and Harvey Mason Jr. The R&B ballad is a very soulful showing by the big-voiced and very slim "Spotlight" singer and deals with the feeling of abandonment sensed when broken promises overtake a relationship.

Listen to the full version of "Where You At" by Jennifer Hudson below:

The production consists primarily of marching band-type drum rolls over piano chords, a simple but fulfilling instrumental that allows Hudson to parade around her vocals with full force and passion. It is primarily geared for rhythmic stations, unlike the more mainstream sound of her first single "Spotlight" and has that Whitney Houston power ballad quality to it.

The song will be the first single from her upcoming sophomore album I Remember Me, which comes from a poem written by Hudson and will be featured on the album with production and additional songwriting credits from OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder. The album is scheduled to be released on March 22nd in the U.S., will contain songwriting and production collaborations with Alicia Keys, Stargate, Ne-Yo and Swizz Beatz.
