France's NRJ Awards were presented to the winners at last night's ceremony and there's nothing like a superstar and his protégé superstar-in-the-making taking home some big wins. Usher, who's currently on his OMG Tour, took home one of the biggest awards of the night after winning International Male Artist of the Year. His album Raymond vs. Raymond and the accompanying EP Versus have spawned the massive hits "OMG" and "DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love," respectively.
It appears that Usher domination is not just confined to the award wins of his own, but a big award for 16-year-old Justin Bieber, who took home International Revelation of the Year award. The "Baby" singer drew massive crowds earlier last year during his French visit, a hysteria of biblical proportions according to some. The teen sensation is working on new music, which has been described as a more mature sound dealing with more mature content.
Other winners at the ceremony include Shakira, who took home the awards for International Female of the Year award and International Song of the Year (Waka Waka - This Time For Africa), and the Black Eyed Peas, who won for International Group/Duo of the Year. For Music Video of the Year, who else but Lady Gaga, an award she shares with Beyonce for their "Telephone" music video.
