The Gaga/Kanye Coulda Should Woulda Moment That Never Was

October 2009 was a great time for Lady Gaga. Her new release "Bad Romance" was storming up the charts and it appeared that the singer was well on her way to securing herself among the pop star elites of contemporary music. The Fame Monster looked as if it would further propel the singer into greater and greater successes, while headlining a major international tour was within an arm's reach.

Look at the stage set up below:

October 2009 was not such a great time for Kanye West. Just a month ago, a belligerently inebriated West stormed the stage at the VMAs while Taylor Swift had won her Moonman award, ripped the microphone out of her hand and... well you know the rest. It was during the weeks after that the backlash was most intense and it didn't help that an off-the-cuff remark by President Obama, in which he called Kanye a "jackass," hit the television airwaves and the internet. The only good thing in his sights was a scheduled sure-to-be-epic tour titled Fame Kills with Lady Gaga and Kanye West. But that fizzled out very quickly.

Unfortunately, with the tour plans scrapped, we never got to see an artistic collaboration between the two, but a released photo of what the stage set up would've looked like hit the internet today. The stage set up looks really interesting and I'm sure the show would've been amazing. But it did enable Lady Gaga to embark on one of the most successful tours of the past several years in the form of The Monster Ball and gave Kanye West the downtime and opportunity to create his masterpiece My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Take a look at the pic below.
