Snoop Dogg has released another song from his upcoming album Doggumentary titled "Raised In Da Hood," which features verses about Dogg's upbringing in the hood during his days in Long Beach. The Baby Dubb and DJ Reflex-produced track features a simple, cyclical beat with a west coast edge to it, while the track is a refreshing return of Snoop Dogg from the Doggystyle days.

It's nice to hear a simple west coast track on an album that has been rumored to feature more pop-oriented collaborations, including a plea by the rapper on Twitter to work with Britney Spears. Don't get me wrong, it would certainly be an interesting collaboration that would mark the first time collaborating on anything music since he was featured in the music video for Spears's "Outrageous." However, there is something refreshing to have the rapper return to his roots.
