You can now officially add Rihanna to the list of Grammy Award performers after the singer just announced that she will perform at this year's ceremony. Due to a "twitition" (twitter petition) and overwhelming support for the singer to perform, she has confirmed on twitter that she and Drake will perform her single "What's My Name?"
In the tweet, Rihanna writes, "Thanks to your twitition and you winning 51% of of the votes on MTV me and Drizzy Drake will be performing 2gether for the 1st time at GRAMMYS." It will be Rihanna's second performance after she performed at the 50th Annual Grammy Awards in February 2008 and it will be Drake's first performance on one of the biggest nights in music. It will also be the first time the two perform the song together live.
It is certainly exciting news for Rihanna fans, who were greeted with her sultry new video and now the news of her performance. It would be interesting to know if the recent Chris Brown restraining order issues and his confirmation of his absence from the upcoming show has anything to do with this. Hmm...
