VIDEO PREMIERE: "On The Floor" by Jennifer Lopez

Some might think a female in their forties with two children would all but eliminate the possibility of capture the pop audiences of today. In most scenarios, that would sadly be the case. But Jennifer Lopez seems to see those qualities as nowhere near impeding as the 41-year-old is staging quite the surprising comeback in pop music. As you can see in the video below, the singer is defiantly proving the old adage, "Age is nothing but a number."

In 2007, J.Lo suffered a huge career blow as her Brave album became a commercial flop, completely missing the top 10 in the U.S. and many other international markets in which she had always done well. She gave birth to twins the next year and worked on a serious comeback, but single after single, the pizazz was missing, all culminating in Lopez's infamous slip at the 2009 AMAs, where the latin diva took a fall during her performance of the less-than-stellar "Louboutins." Although the slip was superbly disguised by her quick moving feet, the chatter regarding her performance did little to help the song as it failed to chart on the Hot 100.

Where things took a turn for the best was her career move to become a judge on American Idol. While some thought jumping on the sinking "Idol" ship might be disastrous, the show's great viewership this year has quickly silenced such critics and has become a huge platform for her musical ambitions. Here we sit, J.Lo number two on iTunes, returning back to the top 10 on the Hot 100 in nearly a decade and becoming one of the favorite judges of Idol. GREAT!
As for the video, it is polished, Lopez looks great, and while there is no dance breakdown, the singer is pulsating with energy. The video is part high-fashion, part bare minimalistic, but all with an appreciation from which Lopez's art originates: on the dance floor. Of course there are the obvious and artistically frustrating product placements that we do see nowadays, but the lighting, setting, and youthful crowd (including Jennifer) make the video a winner.
