Jonas Akerlund To Direct Britney's "Hold It Against Me" Video

It appears that Britney Spears is utilizing the directorial skills of the great Jonas Åkerlund for the music video of her new song "Hold It Against Me." The director, whose talents have garnered awards for a number of music videos including Lady Gaga's "Telephone" and its prequel "Paparazzi," is working to make a video that centers around well rehearsed choreography and club themes. Very little has been revealed about the details of the video but according to Spears's choreographer, Brian Friedman, the video will contain old school Britney dance moves.

The combination of Britney and Åkerlund on a music video is a very promising prospect, especially since his recent videos have become staples of modern pop culture. The hype surrounding his work with Gaga and Madonna's "Music" and "Ray of Light" videos have established him as one of the most sought after video directors. Let's hope that their collaboration will produce amazing results. The video will be filmed next week in Los Angeles.
