NEW MUSIC: "On the Floor" by Jennifer Lopez featuring Pitbull

Jennifer Lopez has been trying to reignite her music career since her sixth studio album Brave underperformed on the charts. The Tricky Stewart produced "Louboutins" didn't catch on, even with the AMA performance that featured the infamous slip and quick recover of the singer during her dance routine. But the recruitment of the singer-songwriter as a judge on the refurbished American Idol may facilitate her reemergence upon the pop music scene, especially with the new Red One-produced "On the Floor."

Listen to the track below:

The song is helmed by the super-producer that has created some of the biggest Gaga hits and features more trance/techno elements than the more mainstream songs he's produced for Lady Gaga. The uptempo track sounds perfectly engineered for dance clubs and while it doesn't have the catchiness of her urban hits, it shares numerous resemblances to some of her major dance songs, most notably "Waiting For Tonight." It also includes an opening verse by Pitbull, who laid down a few verses back in October 2009 on the buzz single "Fresh Out the Oven." I'm not sure if this will be the first single of her upcoming album Love? but it will be enough to create buzz for her new music.
