Drake Scores Six Nods At Juno Awards; Arcade Fire With Five

The U.S. may have the Grammys, but their northern neighbors have the Juno Awards and leading in the upcoming 2011 nominations is none other than Young Money and Toronto's own Drake with six.  The six categories in which the rapper is nominated include album of the year, artist of the year, songwriter of the year, rap recording of the year, single of the year, and the JUNO fan choice award.

Drake has had a phenomenal year, scoring a number one album in Canada and the U.S. with Thank Me Later along with a string of hit singles, including lead single "Over" and "Find Your Love." Considering he won two awards last year, this year will likely be quite victorious for the Young Money emcee.

Montreal's alternative band Arcard Fire have come in with the second-most nominations with five including album of the year, group of the year, songwriter of the year, alternative album of the year, producer of the year, and recording package of the year. Their album The Suburbs has become a massive commercial and critical success both in Canada and internationally, topping the album charts in several countries including their native Canada, United States, United Kingdom, and Ireland, along with other nations, while topping critics year-end lists.

Other successful acts include Justin Bieber with four nominations and Kardinal Offishall with two. You can check out the full list of nominations here.
