Did J.Lo Jack Kat DeLuna's Song?

Monday saw the premiere of Jennifer Lopez's new song "On the Floor," a RedOne-produced, Pitbull-assisted dance track with pulsating synths and thumping drums. However, several are saying that the new J.Lo track may very well be a recycled and slightly modified song that Kat DeLuna released in European markets this past November.

Listen to the two tracks below:

DeLuna's "Party O'Clock" shares a lot of musical and lyrical similarities with the new J.Lo track including the line, "Party in Ibiza, Party in New York/All the way to Africa/Love in the Caribbean/On my way to vegas," which seems to have inspired the Lopez line, "Cuz London to Ibiza/Straight to L.A. New York/Vegas to Africa." It doesn't help that both tracks are produced by the same producer.

Kat DeLuna has no hard feelings, however. When speaking with the Daily News, she said, "It's cool that artists like J.Lo are inspired by my musical sound and style. Jennifer helped to pave the way for Latinas like myself. I love her." This is slightly awkward for both artists and the blame can squarely be placed upon RedOne. Although the similarities aren't too glaring as to create legal problems, but it does sound like the producer got a little lazy, or perhaps he's just keeping his best beats and lyrics for Gaga.
