Simon Cowell Eying Rihanna for X-Factor Judging Panel

With Jennifer Lopez and Aerosmith's Steven Tyler accompanying Randy Jackson on the upcoming season of American Idol, Simon Cowell would love to add some serious star power to the American version of his UK-based show, The X-Factor. Who might that star power be?



Reports reveal that Cowell would love Rihanna to take a judging position on the show because, "[getting] her on the show would give it real star power," a source told Look magazine. "She has a massive appeal and a real edge to her. Simon knows she wouldn't be afraid to give her opinion."

Although sources are coming into agreement that Cheryl Cole and Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger are likely to join the show when it premieres this fall, this does not preclude the Bajan singer's involvement in the show. Reports also state that discussion between the "Only Girl" singer and the former Idol judge to have her involved in the show as either a permanent or guest judge have already occurred with the singer showing some interest.

I think Rihanna would be a great addition to the show and although it seems highly unlikely that she will participate in the show as a permanent judge, since her sold-out Loud Tour will begin next fall as well, she would make a great guest judge. What do you think?
